We love pets at Locators (how can we not with such a cute mascot) which is why many of our apartments are woof and meow friendly. The following guidelines will show you what your deposit or fee could be on most of our pet friendly units. Pet deposits are due at the time of the lease signing along with an image of your pet(s) for our files. Deposits are returned within 30 days from your move out date (as long as your fur babies behaved themselves). Pet fees are added to your monthly rent and are non-refundable.
Pet Breed Restriction List
Unfortunately we can’t accept some dog breeds due to insurance restrictions. The following is a list of breeds that are not eligible to reside in our units.
Pit Bulls & Staffordshire Terriers
Even though we do not allow the above listed dog breeds, assistance animals are exempt. Assistance animals are animals “that work, provide assistance, or perform tasks for the benefit of a person with a disability, or animals that provide emotional support that alleviates one or more identified symptoms or effects of a person’s disability.” Assistance animals are not restricted on species, breed, height, or weight. Types of assistance animals include, but are not limited to:
Emotional Support Animal
We do not inquire about the nature or severity of the tenant’s disability nor do we require proof of the disability from a health care provider. We do require paperwork from a health care professional or from the issuing institution stating the need for an assistance animal. We also require proof of vaccinations form a veterinarian as well as the animal’s licensing fees (if applicable). Assistance animals are exempt to pet deposits and monthly pet fees.
